We didn’t need to reinvent the wheel,
just the disc brake
At the core of Skarper click-on ebike system lies the vision to reinvent the most universal component on modern bicycles: the disc brake rotor. Skarper allows you to effortlessly transform your bike into an ebike and back again with a simple click.
Our DiskDrive rotor is just like the original disc brake rotor on your bike, seamlessly connecting via a centerlock or 6-bolt mount. In addition to providing the mounting system for the Skarper drive system, we’ve integrated a full gearbox, developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies.

Our mission: create a quick-attach mechanism that’s incredibly strong, effortlessly simple, and—here’s the kicker—leaves your bike untouched when removed. This non-negotiable requirement pushed us to the limit, but we refused to compromise. The result? Skarper – our engineering triumph that transforms your ride without altering your bike. We didn’t just overcome a challenge; we redefined what’s possible on two wheels!
To provide all the power you need whilst remaining energy efficient we developed DynamicClimb – a bespoke algorithm using a suite of wireless sensors, that measures the rider’s output, road incline and monitors drive unit parameters thousands of times a second.

REDEFINING RIDE EXPERIENCE
We aimed to create something truly unique in terms of performance. Here’s how we did it:
Sensor Innovation
We developed a pedal sensor that is significantly more responsive when compared to market standards. This allows us to replicate the smooth ride of a torque sensor without modifying your bike.
DynamicClimb® Algorithm
Our DynamicClimb algorithm detects current riding terrain and incline, adjusting power output accordingly and eliminating the need for constant mode changes.
Pause Mode
For cyclists who want more control, we introduced ‘pause mode’. Simply back pedal three times to send Skarper to conserve battery when electric assist is not needed. Want to reactivate motor power? Simply backpedal three times again to go back to assisted riding.
Tailored Power Modes
We’ve spent countless hours fine-tuning our power modes to ensure smooth transitions, responsive power drop-offs, and support when you need it most.

Our UI journey started early, aiming for a minimalist design that delights users. We’ve gone through dozens of iterations, balancing visibility, intuitive use, and functionality.
